This page allows you to configure the various options for your user account.
This section contains options that are not specific to any particular service.
If Show Profile is checked, users will be able to view your profile when you post messages to the various services.
If Show Email is checked, users will be able to view your email address when accessing your user profile.
If Allow Messages is checked, users will be able to send you "user to user" messages. This option will only work if you have specified an email address on the General page. Also, the user sending the message will not have access to your email address unless you have Show Profile checked (see above).
If Auto-Login is checked, you will be automaticly logged in when you access a service that requires it. This only works if you have cookies enabled in your browser.
If Hide Button Text is checked, the text and 3D borders on the toolbar buttons will be disabled, showing a simple toolbar instead.
This sections allows you to set your locale specific information. Select your Timezone and preferred Date Format.
This section contains options that allow you to specify how many entries you would like to appear per page of a particular service.
This section contains options specific to the Personal Messaging system
If Allow Messages is checked, other users will be allowed to send you messages through the Personal Messaging system (not email).
If Quote Replies is checked, the original message will be included when you reply to a message.
If Email Messages is checked, all personal messages sent to you through the Personal Messaging system will also be emailed to you. In order for this to work, you must have a valid email address in your user profile.
For the Empty Inbox, Empty Sent, and EmptyTrash options, select how old a message will be before it is automatically deleted. Note that messages will NOT be deleted if they have not been read yet so there is no danger of deleting something you've not seen.
This section contains options specific to the message boards.
The Sort Order drop down list allows you to specify the default sorting order for the topic list.
If Show Message Page Links is checked, all topics with enough messages to span multiple pages will show up in the topic list with a list of links to the various pages. This only applies when Threaded Messages is turned off.
If Mark New Topics is checked, all new messages since the last time they were marked read will be displayed with the "New Message" icon.
If Email Replies is checked, any replies to messages you post to the message boards will be emailed to you. This only works if you have specified an email address on the General page.
If Threaded Message Boards is checked, the message board topic list will display the subject of replies in a "tree view" below the topic. Otherwise, only root topics will be displayed in a table.
If Threaded Messages is checked, the message view will display the subject of replies in a "tree view" below the message. To view a reply in the message thread, click it's subject. Otherwise, all replies are displayed on the same page as the message.
