This page contains templates for all of the "boiler-plate" emails that the system sends out to your users. By manipulating the items on this page you can customize the text in these emails to suit your particular organization's needs.
Note: You should not edit this page unless you know what you are doing! If you make a mistake and want to go back to the default, just blank the field and save the changes. The default template will be restored.
The email templates rely heavily on "tokens". Tokens are pieces of text contained in curly brackets (i.e. {OrgName} ) that will be replaced with information out the database when the email is sent. The tokens are case sensitive and must appear exactly as listed. To see a description of how the tokens are used, click the "Click here" link above the email template fields. Also, there is a list of supported tokens for each individual email template next to the Body fields.
The Welcome new user email is sent when a new user account is created.
The New user request email is sent is sent to the administrative contact when an individual requests a new user account (if you have User Create Mode set to "All user accounts must be approved" on the Users / Options page).
The New password message email is sent when a user has forgotten their password and requests a new one.
The Personal Message email is sent when a user sends personal message to another user and the recipient has opted to have personal messages emailed to them.
The Warn user email is sent when a moderator has issued a warning against a user for abuse/misuse of the services.
The Deactivate user account email is sent when a moderator has deactivated a user account for abuse/misuse of the services.
The Reactivate user account email is sent is sent when a moderator reinstates a user account that has been deactivated for abuse/misuse of the services.
The Message Board subscription messages email is sent to all subscribers of a message board when a user posts a message to the message board.
The Invite friends message email is sent when a user uses the "Invite friends to this message board" feature.
The Send topic to a friend email is sent when a user uses the "Send topic to a friend" feature.
